The entire Maryland Terps team and staff seemed relaxed and ready!

Iowa came into College Park, Maryland led by All-American candidate Kathleen Doyle #22. Maryland's center Shakira Austin was ready, as she and the Terps held the Hawkeyes to a season-low 59 points to take control of the Big Ten.

Kaila Charles had 21 points, and two of the Terps' whopping 15 steals in the game. Maryland forced Iowa into a season-high 27 turnovers, turning them into 37 points of their own.

It was all Terps from the tip. The trapping defense, crisp passing and precision shooting led to basket after basket.

Maryland refused to let Iowa guard Kathleen Doyle beat them again, holding her to 10 points. Doyle had been one of the best guards in the B10 conference this season, but the Terps' dominant defensive effort kept her frustrated and in place the entire game. The cool looking Nike Iowa team-issue shoes proved no help either.

Kaila's rebounding technique and passion to win always show.

Maryland has guest ball-girls mop the floor during timeouts. This volunteer showed her unique style while at work!

Blair Watson has truly been the defensive catalyst for the Terps this season. This inbound play seemed to be her only moment of calm before she hit the floor creating havoc for Iowa. As a result of her defensive prowess, Iowa scored just two points in the first 5:30 of the second half.

These are plays that drive fans crazy.  NO FOUL was called on this play when Iowa guard Kathleen Doyle hacked Sara Vujacic's arms.

Yet the ref blew the whistle and called a FOUL on Maryland center Shakira Austin despite her never touching Iowa guard Kathleen Doyle. The ref should have considered applauding Iowa's 22 for a beautifully dramatic jump shot.

This time Shakira Austin must be singing Anything you can do, I can do better to Kaila Charles!
