Sara Vujacic of Maribor, Slovenia transferred to Maryland her junior year. The 2020 University of Maryland graduate knocked down three-pointers with the best of them but through my lens I appreciated her mostpowerful quality was perseverance. Continue to enjoy the journey Sara!
A pandemic, injustice and graduation were all part of a challenging backdrop at the time of these photos.
Students departed for spring break 2020 and would not return to campus for classes, as the COVID-19 pandemic spread throughout the world. Classes were completed in virtual classrooms at home.
Kaila Charles of Glenn Dale, MD was Maryland's all-everything player who appreciated the big picture of life. I always looked forward to Kaila’s "Hello Mr. Cohn!" with her arms opened wide to share a hug.
