It was a pleasure to meet and photograph Kristi Toliver. She is a Maryland Terps all-time great that is infamous for 'THE SHOT' vs Duke in 2006 as a freshman. (It can be seen in the video below at :51 seconds.) Yet as I spoke to Kristi, all I could think about was seeing 'THE SHOT' hundreds of times and constantly hearing the expression "She's got ice in her veins." I wondered, aside from her basketball greatness, who is Kristi Toliver?

Then the arena big screen played a uniquely-special #FearlessWomen video. At the :42 second mark, Kristi Toliver appeared. As we watched, I asked "Did you cry the first time you saw that video?" She nodded her head as she blushed with a smile. That is when I appreciated Kristi Toliver is 'Badass & Beautiful'.

GameTime | No. 20 Maryland women vs 17th-ranked Indiana. Kaila Charles is ready to rock the Hoosiers in her 'Under Armour Curry 6 Team' Basketball Shoes (below).

Kaila Charles added 12 points for Maryland (14-4. 5-2 Big Ten). This was her first basket, which set the 'TerpsTone' for the game.

Blair Watson led a stifling full-court trap defense to begin the game. The Hoosiers could not handle the pressure, which led to the Lady Terps getting out to their best start of the season.

Taylor Mikesell and the Terps had the Hoosiers coming out of their Adidas shoes.

Ashley Owusu put her new UA Micro G® Basketball Shoes to good work.

Whenever I see an inbound play originating under the basket, I fondly think of the greatest inbound play I've ever witnessed! Former Terp point guard star, Keith Gatlin, saw North Carolina's Kenny Smith with his back to him, so Gatlin calmly threw the ball off Smith's back. It didn't even bounce on the Dean Dome court, but rather directly back into Keith's hands for an easy uncontested layup.

Despite being undersized in comparison to her defender, Kaila Charles drove by the Hooiser and her 'Issue #1 Adidas' shoes. The Terps domination led to an Indiana timeout.

Shakira Austin scored 20 of her game-high 22 points in the second half. On this play the bench went crazy in cheers as she scored and converted a three-point play.

Shakira Austin made 10 of 13 free throws

Two All-American Terps!

Kaila Charles had lined up inside these two Indiana forwards and despite the Hoosiers size and strength, Kaila's speed and technique put her in position to secure a rebound. Charles had nine rebounds.

Taylor Mikesell hit four three-pointers and dominated her defender every time Coach Frese called this play!

TECHNICAL! The reaction Taylor Mikesell had when she was T'ed up for taunting the Indiana defender she had just beaten to the basket for two points.

After the Terps disposed of their top 20 opponent, Christy Winters-Scott of BTN interviewed Shakira Austin and Taylor Mikesell.
